How long does a facial take?
With Blys you can book an express facial that takes 45 minutes or a signature facial that takes 60 minutes.
What should you not do after a facial?
After a facial, try to avoid:
- Wearing makeup for at least 6 hours to let your skin breathe
- Touching or picking at your skin
- Direct heat, including sun-baking, for at least 48 hours
- Drinking anything that is likely to dehydrate you (such as alcohol) for at least 72 hours. Try to stick to plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated
What should you not do before a facial?
In the days that lead-up to your facial, it’s best to avoid spending long periods of time in the sun and using any strong skincare products such as peels or exfoliants.
It’s also ideal to remove your makeup before the session and also have a list of products you use on your skin in case your facialist asks.
How often should I get facials?
It is recommended that you get a facial every 3-4 weeks.
What should I wear for a facial?
Wear any clothing you feel comfortable laying down in.
What does a facial typically consist of?
A typical facial usually includes a skin consult, cleanse, exfoliation, a face massage, mask and moisturiser. During your skin consultation, your facialist will determine what steps you need to achieve your desired results.
How do I prepare for my first facial?
All you need to do beforehand is pick the room you’d like to have your treatment in, clear 2x2m of floor space for your facialist to set up their beauty chair or bed and have a table nearby that they can use to lay out their products and tools.
You’ll also need to ensure that your face is clean prior to their arrival.
