Corporate Massage Services from Blys

desk massage

Desk Massage

Desk massages are a great option for offices short on space, because as the name suggests, they’re given while seated at your desk.

A desk massage is done through clothing, without oil and focuses on the individual’s neck, shoulders and head, targeting areas strained by long hours sitting at a computer.

How much space do I need?
None! The massage therapist will visit you at your desk.
How long will this massage go for?
A desk massage is often booked between 5-20 minutes per team member.

chair massage

Chair Massage

A corporate chair massage also known as a seated massage is a massage treatment provided to clients using a special ergonomic massage chair.

The massage therapist will bring the chair with them to the session and offer staff members a massage that focuses on the back, neck, shoulders, arms, head and hands. It provides relief from the stress of every day life.

How much space do I need?
You’ll need to prepare an area roughly 3ft x 5ft for the massage to take place.
How long will this massage go for?
A chair massage is frequently booked for 10 – 30 minutes per team member.

table massage

Table Massage

Just like in a spa, you can book and enjoy a table massage in your office.

The massage therapist will bring the table with them to the session and offer staff members a full-body massage and will focus on specific areas of concern. Clients can choose to wear clothing or undress, and the massage therapist will provide any oils, draping or linens necessary.

How much space do I need?
You will need to prepare a private room or area roughly 6.5ft x 6.5ft for the massage to take place.
How long will this massage go for?
A table massage can range in duration, but it must have a minimum of 30 mins per session.

Deep Tissue Massage

It was such a pleasure to meet and have treatments done by Paul. I booked a couples Deep Tissue Massage with him as a surprise for my partners birthday while we were on a staycation. Paul arrived promptly and was so flexible as we had some issues (on our side) in regard to the timings and not getting to our apartment in time because of traffic. He was so understanding and allowed us to rebook for the next morning. I was so glad that we kept the booking, rather than cancelling because Paul was so professional, knowledgeable and was able to deliver a bespoke 10/10 massage based on both of our needs. My partner is a Chef and I am an Assistant Head Teacher so we come from high stress jobs and we were left feeling so relaxed after our massages. I’m definitely saving Paul to my contacts so that we can book with him again and I think you should too!

Booked Moey as a birthday surprise for my wife, who's 7 weeks postpartum, and it was perfect from start to finish. Moey asked thoughtful questions beforehand to tailor everything safely, and was professional, warm and reassuring throughout. The gentle relaxation massage was exactly what she needed — she came out completely relaxed and said it was the best gift. Couldn't recommend more highly. Thank you, Moey!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is corporate massage?

A corporate massage is just as the name suggests – massage performed in a corporate environment. This includes workplace massage, where 1 or more qualified therapists come directly to your office. Corporate massage services include seated desk massages, where employees can remain fully clothed at their stations (how convenient is that?). Blys also offers specialised chair massages, which are ergonomically optimised with a headrest and chest support to allow therapists to target the most troublesome back, neck and shoulder pain. A massage table can also be provided and set up at your discretion to provide full-body massages to those in need. A corporate massage for your next office party could be as little as $20 per person. Let professional and skilled therapists work their massage magic to maximise productivity, renew employee focus, and increase team morale.

What is a desk massage?

As the name suggests, a desk massage is a 5-20 minute massage treatment provided to staff while they are seated in a chair at their desk. A desk massage focuses on the individuals neck, shoulders and head targeting areas strained by long hours sitting at a desk or computer.

A desk massage is a popular choice for teams working in offices and corporate settings as their done through clothing, without oil and there’s no need to find space for bulky equipment or privacy.

What is a workplace massage?

A workplace massage refers to any type of professional massage treatment given to a client in an office. This includes roving desk massage, chair massage and table massage.

What is corporate chair massage?

A corporate chair massage also known as a seated massage is a massage treatment provided to clients using a special ergonomic massage chair.

The massage therapist will bring the chair with them to the session and offer staff members a massage that focuses on the back, neck, shoulders, arms, head and hands. A chair massage can range in duration but is frequently booked for 10 – 30 minutes per staff member. When booking a chair massage you’ll need to prepare a room or an area roughly 3ft x 5ft for the massage to take place.

Do the massage therapists bring the massage chairs?

Yes! All massage therapists are well-equipped with the necessary tools for your massage, whether it be a chair or table massage. The only thing that’s left up to you is the atmosphere-you get to choose the lighting, the space and the music!

What are the different types of corporate massage?

Corporate massages go by a number of different terms, including office massages and corporate event massage.

We provide three main types of corporate massages:

  • Roving Massage: A clothed massage performed at your desk in your office chair.
  • Chair Massage: Our most popular option, a massage chair can fit in small spaces and allows staff to completely relax while getting treated.
  • Table Massage: If you would prefer longer sessions (over 30 mins), and have a private room available this option might be the one for you! The therapist will provide the towels, oils and necessary equipment to give. your staff the ultimate experience.

What is roving massage?

A roving massage or roving desk massage is a massage provided to staff members while they sit at their desk. This type of massage treatment is often booked for the whole team as a massage therapist will rove to each individual’s desk for a 5-20 minute massage focusing on the neck, shoulders and head.

What are the benefits of corporate massage?

There are many physical and mental benefits of regular corporate massages:

  • Reduced stress and anxiety
  • Relief from headaches
  • Relief from pain or discomfort of sitting at a desk

After a corporate massage, your team will feel relaxed and de-stressed, ready to take on the next work task with enthusiasm!

What are the benefits of a professional massage?

There are so many benefits of a professional massage, physically, mentally and for our overall well-being! In terms of the physical, professional massage reduces muscle tension, improves circulation, stimulates the lymphatic system, reduces stress hormones, increases joint mobility and flexibility and improves recovery of soft tissue injuries. Professional massages are also found to decrease levels of stress and anxiety and promote feelings of relaxation within the body and mind.

What is a corporate massage therapist?

A corporate massage therapist is no different from a regular professional massage therapist except instead of coming to your home for your appointment they come to your workplace! Many corporate massage therapists have also completed training specific to chair and roving desk massage, which means you’re in the best hands (literally!).

What should you not do during a massage?

During a massage, there is little you should be doing- apart from relaxing and unwinding of course! In terms of what you should not be doing, it is always advised to not consume alcohol directly before or after your session. The effects of alcohol will be much stronger during a massage as blood flow increases, resulting in dehydration.

What should I do during the massage?

The only thing you need to do during your massage is sit back and relax! Breathe in deep and enjoy the de-stressing and pain-relieving experience. If you are in need of any physical adjustments or changes to the environment, just let your therapist know.

What parts of my body will be massaged?

Depending on which massage type you choose, different parts of your body will be massaged.

In a roving desk massage, a massage therapist will massage you while you are at your desk, focusing mainly on the neck, shoulders and head.

This is similar to a chair massage, which focuses on your upper body, arms, and back.

A table massage is a great option for a full body massage which includes the head, neck, upper body, back, glutes and legs. When booking a table massage you can opt for a Swedish relaxation massage or deep tissue massage. Plus you can always let your massage therapist know if there is any area you would like them to target.

What clothing should I wear?

Chair massages are fully clothed. Feel free to dress in regular work attire. If you would prefer a table massage, therapists will bring all the draping required for privacy.

What is recommended after the massage?

Massage aftercare advice:

  • After your massage, the first and most important task is to drink lots of water. During a massage, built-up toxins within the body are released and must be expelled from your body. While your kidney’s do a great job on their own, drinking water after a massage is a great way to ensure all the toxins are properly eliminated from your body.
  • Stay relaxed and take it easy. The best advice we can give you is to stay calm and chill out.
  • Book another massage! You can hold onto that post-massage glow for as long as possible, but the best way to keep that relaxed feeling going is by booking regular sessions.

Can you provide a full day service?

Absolutely! Our corporate massage services are offered from 6 am to midnight, 7 days a week.

What cities are you in?

You can book services through Blys in almost all the major cities in the United Kingdom including LondonGlasgowBirmingham and Liverpool.

Please see our locations page for a full list of locations where we are available.

Can you work with events?

Of course! Many of our clients like to compliment special causes or team-building days with Blys corporate event massage services.

Is there a cancellation fee?

All confirmed group bookings (including but not limited to bookings for offices / teams, events, and other groups of 4 or more people) will be subject to a 10% cancellation fee if cancelled after the booking has been confirmed. Additionally, the following will also apply:

  • 48 – 72 hours prior to the scheduled booking start time = 20% fee
  • 24 – 48 hours prior to the scheduled booking start time = 50% fee
  • 24 hours prior to the scheduled booking start time = 100% fee

Are there any medical conditions that would make massage inadvisable?

If you experience any adverse health conditions, such as blood clots (thrombosis), osteoporosis, or have recently undergone surgery we always recommend consulting a health professional before getting a massage.

If you are pregnant, it is again recommended that you speak to a healthcare professional before booking an appointment.

If you have any concerns about your overall well-being, including feeling unwell prior to your appointment please advise your therapist immediately or prior to your treatment through the in-app chat function. You can also contact our customer support team at hello@getblys.com for assistance.

What happens before a corporate massage?

Your massage therapist will walk you through your treatment plan to make sure you understand exactly what is involved and to make sure you are comfortable. This is also a great time for you to highlight any areas you’d like them to focus on and stay clear of.

How much does a office massage cost when booked through Blys?

Our corporate massage prices depend on the length of the event, and how many therapists will be required. For a free quote, simply fill in our enquiry form.

Are there any corporate massage packages?

Yes, there are. With Blys, you can also book beauty treatments such as a nail bar, a makeup station or a hairstylist perfect for when the team is heading out for a special event!

How long are your corporate massages?

  • Roving massage or desk massage can be a minimum of 5mins
  • Chair massage can be a minimum of 10mins
  • Table massage can be a minimum of 30mins

Can I choose my massage therapist?

Yes you can! You can use the Blys provider directory to locate massage therapists in your area, or get in touch with us and we’ll help you book the same therapist(s) for your team or event.

What does the office need to provide for the massage?

For an office or workplace, a massage does not require too much space. For a chair massage to take place you’ll need at least 3ft x 5ft of space. Or, if you would prefer a table massage, and have a private room available, you’ll need 6.5ft x 6.5ft of space. The beauty of mobile massage in your office is that you can set up your space however you would like for your session, with music, lighting and overall ambience all up to you!

How much space is required for corporate massage?

The space required will depend on the massage treatment booked:

  • The beauty of a desk massage or roving massage is that it can be provided to staff with no dedicated space required, the massage therapists will simply massage at the desk.
  • A chair massage will require at least 3ft x 5ft of space
  • A table massage will require at least 6.5ft x 6.5ft of space

When and how do I pay for corporate massage?

We require all corporate bookings to be paid in advance. We can accept credit cards (an invoice will be sent) or we can raise an invoice and email it to you.

How much notice do I have to provide?

We require 48 hours notice to secure your booking.

How does parking work?

Massage therapists are required to bring quite a bit of equipment and therefore parking on the premise is preferred. If that isn’t available, we’ll ask you to specify the closest spot to park and if it requires any costs to be covered.

How long are individual sessions?

Session times are flexible. The minimum time per employee is 10 mins, while the maximum is 2 hours.

How do I know I’m getting a quality corporate massage service?

We set standards very high at Blys. Every massage therapist on the Blys platform has been carefully vetted and holds a valid business license. We also have an internal rating system for therapists, so rest assured, you will be getting only the highest-rated corporate massage.

Can in-office massage be tax deductible or rebates be provided?

Corporate massage services may be 100% tax deductible if offered free to staff (pending approval from your company’s finance team). However, health insurers do not usually provide rebates for in-office massage.

Can I rebook with the same corporate massage therapist?

For sure! Our seamless booking platform makes it super easy to rebook your favourite therapists.

Can I contact my massage therapist prior to my appointment?

Yes! 48 hours prior to your booking start time, you will be able to message your massage therapist using the chat function in the app. To access the chat function, open your app and head to the upcoming bookings page, select your booking and then click ‘message therapist’.

Your massage therapist will also have the ability to message you prior to your appointment to ask any questions they may have to ensure they can best prepare to achieve your desired results.

Do I need to allocate a separate room?

Not really. Having a chair massage, a roving desk massage, or a table massage as a part of your corporate event is quite manageable in your usual communal workplace setting. However, having a separate room/space can be beneficial to create a private, relaxing ambience.

Do you use any massage oil?

No, therapists you book via the platform do not use any oil for corporate event massages, as they are performed fully clothed. This makes it very practical for the work place or event you’re based in.

Are therapists vetted and insured?

All therapists on the Blys platform are carefully vetted and must complete a comprehensive onboarding process before joining the platform. We require providers to have relevant experience for the services they offer, valid insurance and police checks as well while they sign up. We also have an internal rating system for our providers, which helps you decide which therapists to book for your event.

What hygiene procedures do therapists maintain?

The massage chair your therapist uses for your office massage session is always wiped down with antibacterial between every client, and they are required to use a disposable paper cover/lining every time.

How many people should I book for?

Booking for an office event or just for your team can be quite challenging, however, as a general rule, the uptake of massage is around 70%. So, if you have an office of around 50 people, you should expect around 35 attendees. If you consider 15 minutes of seated massage for each of the 35 team members, this would be around 9 hours in total. This is just a tentative guide, and it is a good idea to ask around the workplace in advance to gauge the interest.

What if I want to extend on the day?

You can definitely extend on the day itself, provided your therapist is available. However, you will need to get in touch with our team for more details.

What is a contraindication?

A contraindication is an injury or medical condition that may require therapists to modify, and in very rare cases refrain from doing massage. For example. if you or any of your team members has a strained wrist, your therapist could still massage the neck and shoulders, but just avoid the injured area. But if they have had a recent surgery, there will be an absolute contraindication, refraining the therapist from working on them. Generally the therapist can modify the sequence to make it safe and enjoyable.

How long is turnaround between massages?

When greeting the client, your therapist will ask for areas to focus on, any injuries/contraindications, pressure, and instruct them how to sit on the chair if it’s a chair/seated massage or the table if you’ve opted for a table massage. This generally takes about 1 or 2 minutes. At the end of the massage, the therapist will make sure the client gets off safely, and sanitises the chair takes around another minute or two.

Do you provide corporate gifting options?

Yes, we offer a variety of corporate gifting options! You can choose from massage gift vouchers or create tailored wellness packages for your employees, clients, or business partners. It’s an excellent way to show appreciation while promoting wellness.

Learn more about our corporate gift vouchers here: Corporate Gift Vouchers.
